Hashtag Feminism

Hashtag Feminism was created by Tara L. Conley in 2013 as a way to track, document, and amplify feminist discourse, including emerging conversations and social movements. In 2019, Hashtag Feminism returns with archived posts from 2013-2015. You can view the original Hashtag Feminism website by going to The Way Back Machine.

Hashtag Feminism

You can now visit the new Hashtag Feminism, and view archived posts of the original hashtagfeminism.com website at the Hashtag Feminism Archive. Due to several issues, including lack of funding, writing my dissertation, and frequent hacking, I was unable to manage the website full-time. As as result, content on the server was lost. However, I was able to retrieve most of the posts featured on the site, and manually archive them thanks to The Internet Archive’s Way Back Machine here.

Hashtag Feminism (#F) began in 2013 as a way to document and track feminist discourse, including emerging conversations and social movements online. I’m proud of this work and grateful to the contributing writers and editors who made this little experiment part of Internet history.
